Christine Athena Horner is an American plastic surgeon, author, professional speaker, and activist for the prevention of breast cancer through holistic and alternative medicine methods. He is considered an expert in the field of breast cancer. She often appears on television and talks on the radio to promote breast cancer prevention methods including lifestyle choices, vaccines, food choices such as eating less red meat and less sugar and reducing alcohol consumption, getting enough sleep, and having better relationships. His book Build a Goddess of Warriors discusses his ideas about breast cancer prevention. He was instrumental in a five-year public relations campaign to get insurance companies to pay for breast reconstruction surgery after mastectomy by making it federal law. He was certified by the National Board of Surgery and National Board of Plastic Surgery.
