Randal D. Haworth , (born 19 September 1961) is a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon known for his leading role in the reality TV series The Swan. Haworth is also an artist, having recently exhibited a series of iconographic paintings in Los Angeles and Boca Raton, Florida.

Education
Haworth graduated Alpha Omega Alpha from the University of Southern California School of Medicine in 1988. He then completed a five-year surgical residence at New York Hospital/Cornell University Medical Center in 1993. Haworth served as Chief Resident during his plastic surgery residency at UCLA, where he gained extensive experience in aesthetic, micro, pediatric, and hand sub-specialties. During this time, he earned his Plastic Surgical Consultant of the Year award for 1993-94. After completing his training, Haworth set up an office and surgical center at Bedford Drive in Beverly Hills where he currently practices. Haworth is a board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Careers
Haworth has published several articles in plastic and general surgical journals in which he detailed technical advances in cosmetic surgery. The latest publication from June 2004 in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, describes Haworth's innovation in permanent lip augmentation as well as F.A.T.M.A. techniques he found. Another article in Cosmetic Surgery Times describes its experience in the midface lift using midother Endotine B devices from Coapt. Among Haworth's areas of expertise are rinoplasty (including revising previously ruined surgical noses), facial rejuvenation and breast surgery. The Swan television show centered on Haworth's ability to transform a very innocent look into a beautiful, while maintaining a natural look. Haworth has frequently been profiled in print, including Los Angeles Magazine, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal, as well as on television (Entertainment Tonight, Larry King, MSNBC). In 1998, Los Angeles magazine nominated him as one of 8 plastic surgeons L.A., while in 2005, LA Confidential magazine named him as one of the 2 best plastic surgeons in Los Angeles.
Art
Haworth began drawing medical illustrations for medical journal articles in 1981. He was inspired by medical scientist Max Broedel from Johns Hopkins University. The illustrations are published in several journals, including Plastic Surgery and Reconstruction, Annals of Plastic Surgery, Trauma Quarterly, and Hand Clinics.
Haworth's illustration was crossed into fine art when in August 2000 he had his first solo art performance entitled "Memories Lost" at BGH Gallery/Bergamot Station in Santa Monica, California. The working body consists of photorealistic images of lost children and adults. A new series of acrylic paintings are titled "Iconography" which focuses on modern cultural reflection through an anachronistic figurative image. The show was staged at The James Gray Gallery in Santa Monica (August 2006), Karen Lynne Gallery in Beverly Hills (November 2006), and Caesarea Gallery in Boca Raton, Florida (February 2007). Art critic Peter Frank called it 'Anti-Pop Realism' stating that his art 'synthesizes a classic style with Pop Surrealism'. "
