Javier HernÃÆ'¡ndez BalcÃÆ'¡zar ( Spanish pronunciation: Ã, [xa '? je? er' nandez? al'kasar] Ã, ( listen ) , born 1 June 1988) is a professional Mexican footballer who plays as a striker for English club West Ham United and Mexico national team. HernÃÆ'¡ndez is commonly known by its nickname, Chicharito ( [t? It? A '? Ito] ; : little pea ), which she wore on her shirt.
He started his career in 2006, playing for Mexican club Guadalajara, before becoming the first Mexican player to join Manchester United in July 2010. After falling under manager David Moyes and Louis van Gaal, he spent the 2014-15 season on loan to Real Madrid, then moved permanently to Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen in August 2015. His minute-by-goal ratio over his time with Manchester United is one of the most prolific in Premier League history.
As an international Mexican player, HernÃÆ'¡ndez is the all-time leading scorer in his country. He made his debut for Mexico in September 2009 in a game against Colombia. He has represented Mexico at the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup, the FIFA Confederations Cup 2013, the 2014 FIFA World Cup, the Copa Amà © rica Centenario and the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup. He is the 2011 World Cup's top scorer with seven goals and was crowned as the most valuable player in the tournament.

HernÃÆ'¡ndez started playing with bottom division Chivas, Chivas Coras in Tepic, Nayarit in the 2005-06 season. He made his debut for Chivas at the 2006 Apertura in victory over Necaxa at Estadio Jalisco. With a score of 3-0, HernÃÆ'¡ndez entered as substitute Omar Bravo in the 82nd minute, before scoring the fourth goal of the match five minutes later. It was the only goal in seven appearances in 2006-07. He made six more appearances in 2007-08 without scoring.

Manchester United was first made aware of HernÃÆ'¡ndez in October 2009; scouts went to Mexico in December and reported positive after watching several games. Due to the age of HernÃÆ'¡ndez, the club originally planned to wait before moving to sign him, but his potential involvement with the national team at the World Cup made the club make an offer. United's reconnaissance chief Jim Lawlor was sent to Mexico for three weeks in February and March to oversee HernÃÆ'¡ndez and submit another positive report to him, before the club's lawyers went to Mexico to complete the paperwork.
On April 8, 2010, HernÃÆ'¡ndez approved a deal to sign for Manchester United at an undisclosed fee, subject to a work permit application. The day before, HernÃÆ'¡ndez has been present at Manchester United's Champions League quarter-final over Bayern Munich at Old Trafford. HernÃÆ'¡ndez made his United debut on July 28, coming on as a 63rd minute substitute for Nani in the 2010 MLS All-Star Game; he scored his first goal for the club 18 minutes later, throwing the ball past Nick Rimando from outside the penalty box after a long pass from Darren Fletcher. Two days later, HernÃÆ'¡ndez scored against Manchester United while playing in a friendly for his old club Chivas; He started the game with a Chivas uniform and scored just after eight minutes. He switched sides in the first half, but he could not prevent a 3-2 defeat to Manchester United. 2011-12 season
After participating in the CONCACAF 2011 Gold Cup with Mexico, HernÃÆ'¡ndez returned to Manchester United to begin pre-season training in New York ahead of the MLS All-Star Game 2011. On July 26, 2011, he was taken to the hospital after suffering a mild concussion after his head was hit with the ball during the training session; he was released the next day, but did not participate in the game.
On July 28, 2011, it was reported that Rafael Ortega, a doctor at Chivas, told Manchester United that HernÃÆ'¡ndez suffered a pre-existing neurological condition. Ortega also explains that HernÃÆ'¡ndez has suffered "acute migraines and headaches" as a teenager.He did not participate in United's pre-season, or FA Community Shield 2011. He also missed United's opening game of the season against West Bromwich Albion.
HernÃÆ'¡ndez made his first appearance in the 2011-12 season on 22 August in a 3-0 win against Tottenham Hotspur, coming off the bench for Danny Welbeck in the 79th minute. season 2012-13
HernÃÆ'¡ndez started his third season with United on 2 September 2012, coming on as a 72-minute substitute for Danny Welbeck in a 3-2 win against Southampton. On 15 September, he was mentioned in the starting eleven for the match against Wigan Athletic, playing throughout the 90 minutes. Despite having a penalty saved in the fifth minute by Wigan goalkeeper Ali Al-Habsi, HernÃÆ'¡ndez scored his first goal of the season, as well as helping in team mate Nick Powell in a 4-0 win. On 23 October, HernÃÆ'¡ndez scored twice in a 3-2 win against Braga in the Champions League group stage match after United lost 2-0 in the first half. Five days later, he scored the winning goal against nine Chelsea players in a controversial 3-2 win after he was deemed to be in an offside position when scoring.
On 10 November 2012, HernÃÆ'¡ndez came on as a second-half substitute and scored twice as United came from behind 2-0 to beat Aston Villa 2-3 at Villa Park. At the end of the game, HernÃÆ'¡ndez claimed a hat-trick, but replays showed that his shot for United's second goal was struck wide into his own net by Villa defender Ron Vlaar. On 24 November, he scored his fifth goal in the league this season with a 3-1 home win over Queens Park Rangers. On 26 December, HernÃÆ'¡ndez scored United's fourth goal in stoppage time in a 4-3 win over Newcastle United at Old Trafford. He then started 2013 by scoring two goals against Wigan on January 1, helping United to a 4-0 victory. On January 26th, HernÃÆ'¡ndez will go on to score again, this time during an FA Cup match against Fulham that United won 4-1.
In an FA Cup match against Reading on February 18, HernÃÆ'¡ndez scored in the 72nd minute, giving United a 2-0 lead. The goal will end up being the deciding factor as United win 2-1. Although he started in Premier League 2-0 victory against QPR on 23 February 2013, he did not score in the game and he did not score again until March 10 in another FA Cup game against Chelsea which ended in a 2-2 draw. HernÃÆ'¡ndez opened the scoring in Sir Alex Ferguson's last home game at Old Trafford against Swansea City. After a free kick was not cleared, he came in from six yards in the first half to put United ahead 1-0, in their 2-1 win. HernÃÆ'¡ndez scored United's last goal of the season and the last goal of the Ferguson era, when he crossed from close range in a 5-5 draw at West Bromwich Albion on the final day.

HernÃÆ'¡ndez scored his first goal of the season under new manager David Moyes on September 25, 2013, scoring the only goal of home win over rivals Liverpool in the League Cup third round. On 26 October, with his first league goal of the campaign, he led the winners as they came from behind to beat Stoke 3-2 at Old Trafford. Three days later, he recorded two goals - starting with a penalty - in a 4-0 win against Norwich City in the next round of the League Cup. In the semifinals of the tournament, his goal from Adnan Januzaj's cross in the last minute of extra-time forced a penalty shootout, which United lost to Sunderland.
Real Madrid (loan)
On September 1, 2014, HernÃÆ'¡ndez signed a contract with Real Madrid on a long-term loan deal, with an option to purchase at the end of the loan. He underwent a medical examination and signed a contract on the same day. HernÃÆ'¡ndez was given a number 14 shirt, which was available after Xabi Alonso's departure.

He scored the winner on April 22, 2015 in a 1-0 victory over Atlà © tico Madrid, who sent Real Madrid to the semi-finals of the Champions League. Four days later, HernÃÆ'¡ndez scored twice as Madrid won 2-4 over Celta de Vigo.
On May 26, it was announced that HernÃÆ'¡ndez would return to Manchester United after the end of his loan term after Real Madrid decided not to make the loan move a permanent deal. Bayer Leverkusen
