Training
An oculoplastic surgeon is an ophthalmologist specialist who has completed one or two years of additional fellowship training after ophthalmology residency. Members of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (ASOPRS) are the most qualified oculoplastic surgeons in North America. To qualify, members must have passed the American Board of Ophthalmology certification exam, as well as written and oral examinations through ASOPRS. A candidate should also have made a significant contribution to the field of oculoplastics, which may take the form of a peer-reviewed publication. Other surgeons such as plastic surgeons, otolaryngologists, and oral and maxillofacial surgeons can be trained in oculoplastic procedures as well.

Entropion, ectropion, ptosis, and eyelids are usually treated with various forms of eyelid surgery.
- Blepharoplasty (eyelid) is a plastic surgery of the eyelid to remove excess skin or subcutaneous fat.
- Asian blepharoplasty
- Ptosis improvements for sagging eyelids.
- Ectropion repair
- Entropion fixes
- Canthal resection
- A canthectomy is a network lifting operation at the junction of the upper and lower eyelids.
- Cantholysis is the canton surgical division.
- Canthopexy is a kantus surgical fixation.

- Epicanthoplasty
- Tarsorrhaphy is a procedure in which the eyelids are sewn together to narrow the opening (ie palpebral fissures).
- Eliminates eyelid tumors (such as basal cell carcinoma or squamous cell carcinoma)
- Procedure Hughes
Surgery involving lacrimal apparatus
-
- External or Endoscopic Dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR) for nasolacrimal duct obstruction
- Trauma kanalik (repair kanaluliuli)
- Canaliculodacryocystostomy is a surgical correction for congenital blocked tears, in which closed segments are cut and open ends join the lacrimal sac.
- Canaliculotomy involves cutting lacrimal and canaliculus punctures to remove epiphytes
- A dacryoadenectomy is the surgical removal of the lacrimal gland.
- A dacryocystectomy is a partial removal operation of the lacrimal sac.
- A dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR) or dacryocystorhinotomy is a procedure for returning tear flow to the nose from the lacrimal sac when the nasolacrimal duct does not work.
- A dacryocystostomy is an incision into the lacrimal sac, usually to improve drainage.
- A dacryocystotomy is an incision into the lacrimal sac.

-
- An enucleation is the removal of the eye that keeps the eye muscles and the rest of the orbital content intact.
- An
eviseration is the removal of the eye content, leaving the scleral shell intact. Usually done to reduce the pain in the eyes of the blind. - The is the deletion of the entire contents of the orbitals, including the eyes, extraocular muscles, fat, and connective tissue; usually for malignant orbital tumors.
Orbital reconstruction
- Eye prosthetic (artificial eye)
- Orbital prosthesis (replacement of artificial eyes and eyelids in the Anaplastology discipline) for exporiated orbit.
- Orbital decompression for Graves' disease
