Taimak Guarriello (aka Taimak , born June 27, 1964) is an American martial art champion, actor and stuntman famous for his leadership role as Leroy Green in 1985's classic soap opera Sony Pictures The Last Dragon .

Taimak Guarriello was born on June 27, 1964, in Los Angeles, California, to an Italian American father and an African American mother. Taimak currently lives in New York City.

Careers

Taimak's main role in Berry Gordy The Last Dragon , in which he plays Leroy Green, a Bruce Lee-inspired martial artist in search of "The Glow", is his first major break in acting. The film was financially successful and earned more than $ 25 million at the box office.

Since The Last Dragon , Taimak has appeared in a number of TV roles and over a dozen dramas.

Taimak later appeared in a number of TV roles and music videos including the lead man in "Let's Wait Some" music video of Janet Jackson, "Special Look" video Debbie Allen. She plays a date rapist in an episode of the TV show A Different World . She appeared in 36 music videos of Crazyfists "Bloodwork".

Taimak has worked with a number of celebrities including Madonna and starred in the drama Cheaters , who toured the United States. She starred in an Off-Broadway show in 2004 called Roadhouse The Comedy , based on the movie Patrick Swayze Road House .

In addition to his acting career, Taimak operates a game on East Side of Manhattan in New York City called Fitness Concepts, which he opened in 2002. However, due to time constraints, he has parted ways with his colleagues but might consider re-opening another gym in the future. For a while, Taimak completed Taimak FIT (Search In Transformation) the first installment of a fitness DVD series.

He is an accomplished martial artist and has received a black belt in Goju Ryu Karate, Jeet Kune Do, Wing Chun, Hapkido, Jujutsu, Taekwondo & Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He studied Goju China under "The Black Dragon", Ron Van Clief.

He led the initial MMA attack on UFC 6 and UFC 7.

He wrote and directed the so-called I See Things .

Also in November 2015, both he and Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa were the recipients of the award for the Fists of Legends Legacy Award at the Urban Action Showcase & amp; Expo on HBO

In March 2016, Publishing Publishing Incorgnito published Taimak's autobiography, Taimak The Last Dragon available on Amazon and Barnes & amp; Noble. Taimak will also star in comedy martial arts film Fury of the fist, co-written by Sean Stone's son Oliver Stone & amp; also starring Danny Trejo for being released in select & amp; VOD on May 25, 2018.
