The BBC won a "bidding war" with ITV, paying £ 22 million for the right to broadcast performances in Britain for two years. ITV's Britain's Got Talent launched its sixth series on the same date March 24, 2012. Many media saw this move as a deliberate attempt by ITV to create a "TV rank war" with the BBC.
In November 2015, the BBC announced that the fifth series of The Voice UK would be the last. That same month, ITV announced that it has earned the right to broadcast The Voice UK for three additional series, as well as plans for the two series The Voice Kids beginning in 2017.

History
The Voice first appeared in the public eye when the BBC revealed that they were exploring the possibility of getting the rights. However, ITV was also interested in worrying that X Factor could lose its ranking after Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue left the panel. ITV is said to be afraid that the show will "go on stage" to them. Reported by The Sun that BBC and ITV are in "bidding war" for The Voice UK . Colin Robertson and Leigh Holmwood have stated that ITV is "nervous", "afraid" that The Voice UK can "weaken" X Factor . The Sun has previously reported that the BBC is "close" to get The Voice , and says that "ITV executives initially told X Factor that their high-ranking officials were not interested in taking the right." However, "now they have told the owners of The Voice format that they are interested." A source said, "The X Factor has been a bit up the rollercoaster this year and ITV is afraid there is a new competitor who can get it out of the water. The hype around The Voice is now so great that ITV feels has no choice but to run for it.If the BBC gets it - and successfully hires Cheryl - then it can snare a lot of viewers from The X Factor . "ITV plans to make The Voice UK as a '' companion event '"for The X Factor .
On June 18, 2011, it was reported that the BBC had won the rights to The Voice UK . In mid 2011 it was revealed that the BBC will broadcast The Voice after paying Ã, à £ 22 million. Danny Cohen, BBC One controller, says he wants the program to emulate The Apprentice's success and defend its decision to invest in it. Cohen said, "I think it's really good, sometimes the BBC sometimes buys something from abroad that is very good, like The Apprentice We adjust it to England with Alan Sugar and make the English version the best in the world. We hope The Voice will do the same.we should not shut the door on anything. "
It was later revealed that The Voice would not go head-to-head with The X Factor as Strictly Come Dancing broadcasted at the end of this year. Channel 4 has entered a bidding war with the BBC and ITV, but was later pulled out after a channel director called "derivative" and "rip-off" events. It is said that the BBC was interested to register a new singing talent show after he dropped Fame Academy in 2004 and has not revisited the genre. It was also eager to schedule a replacement for So You Think You Can Dance , which was dropped in 2011. Presenter Holly Willoughby also stated that The Voice UK is a "feel good show" saying, "The Difference [with The Voice ] is a blind audition, the coach can not see the contestants when they come on stage so they judge them purely on their voices and their own voices. It's really fun and the coach is amazing. "
Designed by John de Mol, creator of Big Brother The Voice is based on the Dutch Voice of Holland TV program and is part of The Voice franchise, based on the same US format. BBC "despair" to get The Voice UK after they fired So You Think You Can Dance .
According to Anita Singh from The Daily Telegraph, the BBC has spent Ã, à £ 22 million to buy the rights to the show, which will last two years. Of the amount of money spent on it, a BBC spokeswoman said, "There is a lot of pressure, considering the money spent on formatting, for ratings to be good, but at this point all the signs are that it will be cash, well used. " But Singh stated that this contradicts the "promise" made by Mark Thompson, director-general. He said, "The BBC needs to make significant significant changes to its uniqueness, spend more licensing fees for output which, without the BBC, will not be made at all." ITV reported "offers more for format but is rejected". After a comparison with the X Factor was made, Cohen defended the decision to get the rights to a show that said, "We feel that there are quite a few differences in this format that will stand out.the fact that ITV tries is very hard to get - even though they have The X Factor - shows that they feel the show is quite different [from that one]. "
In October 2011, it was announced that executive producer Moira Ross of Strictly Come Dancing left the show to join the Wall to Wall production company, allowing him to take the position of executive producer of The Voice. UK .
The BBC plans to make every show on the show available for download every week, with free charity or download results, before being released commercially. The winner will receive Ã, à £ 100,000, as well as a recording contract with Universal Republic.

Scheduling
After the speculation in February, the event air date was confirmed on March 10, 2012. From this announcement, the show's Twitter account says, "Two weeks from now, something new will be on your television, something really great that you want to run and kiss screen only FYI. " Britain's Got Talent rated Alesha Dixon confirmed the launch date for Britain's Got Talent , with it's the same day as The Voice UK â ⬠. Britain's Got Talent was brought forward by ITV, so it could be against the show. From this step, BBC sources said, "This is the hallmark of ITV, parked their tanks on our page just as we launched a great new format They are smart because they do not get the show even though they bid Ã, à £ 10 million more than us. " But the ITV source replied, "We have not declared our launch date but if I was a bet I would go for March 24. The BBC knows we always launch BGT around this time, if anyone parks a tank on the grass, that's ours! "But over the last four years,
As The Voice evolves, it becomes clear that the audience remains faithful during the period when it clashed with Britain's Got Talent . After the third round of Blind Auditions, when the BBC program enjoyed a viewing margin of about four million, Simon Cowell and ITV executives moved their events to start time later.
In an exclusive interview with Digital Spy , Cowell stated that the show was a "competition" for Britain's Got Talent . He said, "I recognize [The Voice] as a challenge, the BBC should be confident because they have opposed this event, they want to make a competition from it, so we have to make [Britain's Got Talent.] Better.. "However, presenter Reggie Yates denied this:" I do not know if this is about dropping anyone. This is a very different animal altogether.I think when you see what the show is, you'll see exactly where we're coming from. "
In 2013, the show re-collided, this time with BGT starting in mid-April the usual Slot. Both events face to face with The Voice from 6.45-8.15 and BGT from 7-8.35. With BGT winning the war, The Voice moves to the later slot and for the rest of the run, just clashing with BGT for 10-15 minutes every week.
In 2016, his show again collided. The BBC Voice final was moved one week due to a Six Country match which meant a clash with the BGT launch. Voice aired from 7-9 with BGT from 7-8.25. While the original schedule had The Voice from 6-8 and BGT from 8-9.20, the show both changed to a starting time of 7.00.

It reads, "Four big names in music are looking for exceptional singing talent to compete for the title of The Voice UK.Only the most unique and distinctive voice that will make it for the audition that is filmed and can sing for our celebrity trainer." To promote the show, the four coaches went to the Central London launch event, which took place at the Soho Hotel on February 24, 2012. Jo Usmar commented on the promotion of the show, stating that the trailer will "make you juice flowing". A further trailer was released on March 9, featuring footage from the show, "including an interview with the panel, a first look at some contestants and a quarrel among the trainers".

According to the Digital Spy , the BBC is trying to "increase audience participation with the richness of social media and online activity, as viewers often watch programs while also commenting and engaging via Twitter and Facebook on smartphones, laptops or tablets. Telegraph Hill, having previously worked on BBC Three plays Being a Human and The Fades, puts a full-time team of "social media creatives" that will produce online videos around the show, and on Facebook pages and Twitter events.

Format
The Voice is a reality television series featuring four trainers looking for talented new artists, who can become global superstars. The concept of the show is shown by its title: coaches do not judge artists by their appearance, personality, stage presence, or dance routines - just their vocal abilities. This aspect distinguishes Sound from other reality television series such as The X Factor , Britain's Got Talent or even Pop Idol Competitors are divided into four teams, who are guided by a coach who in turn chooses a song for their artist to perform. No specific age range and anyone can audition; if a coach likes what they hear, a pushbutton lets their chair spin and confronts the player, indicating that they want to guide them. If more than one does so, then the artist chooses the coach. However, if no coach is turned around then the artist is sent home. The Voice has been called the "big, exciting and warm series" and "new generation in the genre". The discomfort caused by the poor chair design, which weighs 19-stone, has invited criticism from will.i.am, who claims that it made him bend his shoulders.
There are five different stages: audition producer, Blind audition, Battle phase, Knockout stage and live performances.
Production audition and blind auditions â ⬠<â â¬
The Voice UK ' s the first stage is the audition of the producer, which is not shown on television. The first stage featured was a blind audition, where they sang in front of the trainers. Coaches have a back for the singers, and if they like what they hear, they can push their buttons to turn around and recruit them to their team. If more than one coach changes, power shifts to the singer, who then decides which team they want to be part of. Each coach must recruit a number of singers (10 in series 1, 12 since series 2 and beyond) to their team in blind auditions to advance to the battle phase.
Since 2017, artists who were not chosen by one of the trainers left the stage after their song and did not talk to the coaches. Similarly, seats do not rotate and hence the trainers do not see any of the unselected artists.
Battle phase
The second stage, 'Battle Phase', is where two artists are mentored and then developed by their respective trainers. The team coaches will "dedicate themselves to developing their artists, giving them advice, and sharing the secrets of their success in the music industry". Team members do a duet and the coach picks who goes to the next stage.
In Series 2 (2013), the BBC introduced a new 'stealing' twist to the Battle phase. 'Stealing' gives an opportunity to the losers of a head-to-head battle to give a coach a final pitch, excluding their own coach, on why they should stay in the process. The coach then has a certain amount of time to push their buttons on their spinning chairs if they want the contestants on their team. As with any blind audition, if more than one coach presses their buttons, the contestant chooses which trainers will join. In Series 4 (2015), a second steal was added, thereby increasing the advanced team to eight members. In Series 6 (2017), each coach has only one steal each.
Knockout Stage
The third stage of the competition is 'Knockout stage'. It was first introduced in the second series (2013). The four trainers will enter this stage with seven team members each; six winners from the battle phase, and one stolen member. Artists perform their 'killer songs' of choice and each coach selects three members of their team to go to live performances, creating 12 finals for public voices.
Live show
In live shows, performing in front of coaches and spectators, broadcast live.
In the first series (2012), each coach has five artists on their team to start and the artists face to face to win the public vote. Sound determines which artist goes to the last eight.
Eight final artists compete in live events. However, the coach has a 50/50 say with the audience and the public in deciding the artist who moved into the 'last four' phase. In the first three series, each coach has one continuing member. However, from the fourth series in 2015, the semi-final format changed; only the public vote decides which artist moves to the final, regardless of their team. Therefore, a coach can have two of his artists in the final. The final (round of winners) is decided by the public vote. Throughout the finals, coaches often perform with their artists. The winner was crowned The Voice .
From the second series (2013), after the introduction of 'stealing' in the battle phase and new 'knockout rounds', each coach will have three artists in their team, a total of 12 artists in live performances to fight for public voices and be crowned' The Voice ', then received a recording contract with Universal Music.

Jones says that the show has more "credibility" than others, because of the jury panel. He said, "We've been through it, we know what it's like to get up and perform, unlike some jurors on some other event that does not know, they've never done it yet.
