Nicholas Edward Foles (born January 20, 1989) is an American football quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles of National Football League (NFL). He plays college football in Arizona and is designed by the Eagles in the third round of the NFL Draft 2012. He also plays for St. Louis Rams and Kansas City Chiefs.

Foles played his first game with the Eagles on Sunday 10 season 2012 after Michael Vick left with an injury. Foles then made his first debut the following week. On Week 9 of the 2013 season, he becomes the second quarterback to post a perfect passer rating (158.3) when it passes over 400 yards, as well as the first quarterback in NFL history to post a perfect passer rating and toss seven goals in a single game. This is the 60th time in NFL history that the perfect passer rating is achieved as a whole.

After running the task with Rams and the Chiefs, Foles returns to the Eagles in 2017. Initial years

Foles was born and raised in Austin, Texas, the son of a restaurant owner named Larry and Melissa Foles. He graduated in 2007 from Westlake High School.

A two-year starter for the football team, Foles throw for 5,658 yards and 56 goals, breaking most of the school records previously held by Drew Brees; he then played against Brees and New Orleans Saints during the NFL playoffs 2013-14.

Foles also excelled in basketball, where he started three years, twice received the MVP team award, and was recruited by Georgetown, Baylor, and Texas. He also played high school football with Justin Tucker, a kicker for the Baltimore Ravens, and Kyle Adams, former free agent of Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Chicago Bears

Foles originally committed to Arizona State but later decided to attend Michigan State. He was eventually transferred to the University of Arizona.

College career

Foles attended Michigan State for one year. He appeared in a match against Alabama-Birmingham, where he completed 5 of 8 passes for 57 yards.

Professional career

Philadelphia Eagles

season 2012

Foles was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the third round by choosing the overall 88 in the NFL Draft 2012. He signed a four-year contract with the team on 21 May 2012. Despite speculation that Foles will start the Eagles' game Monday Night Football against New Orleans Saints on 5 November (Week 9), Eagles Coach Andy Reid stated that Vick will start the game. The following week against the Dallas Cowboys division rivals, after Vick left the game in the second quarter with symptoms of a concussion, Foles made his NFL debut. Foles threw his first career touchdown pass into wide receiver Jeremy Maclin for 44 yards and finished with 22 finish passing 32 attempts to 219 yards, one goal, and one interception. With Philadelphia behind 31-23 at the last minute, Foles lost the ball as he was sacked, and Jason Hatcher of the Cowboys recovered the ball in the final zone for a touchdown. Vick was eventually ruled out of the next game against Washington Redskins in Week 11, and Foles started his first career. Philadelphia lost to the Redskins 31-6, and Foles was 21-for-47 within 204 yards without touchdown and two interception.

On Monday, December 3, 2012, Eagles coach Andy Reid announced that Foles will start for the rest of the year, regardless of when Michael Vick returned from concussion. The following week 14 games on December 9, Foles earned their first win as a starter in a Eagles' 23-21 win over Tampa Bay Buccaneers. 2013: Pro Bowl Season

Go to the training camp, new head coach Chip Kelly announced that Foles will compete with Vick and Matt Barkley's new rookie to start the Eagles quarterback job in the 2013 season. In the 6th week starting on October 13th, Foles had one of the best start of his career, finishing 22 of 31 passes for 296 yards and 4 goals total (3 passing, 1 rushing) in a 31-20 win over Bucs, a performance that made him get NFC Offensive Player of the Week.

On October 15, Vick announced that he needed another rehab week before he could start again, making Foles a starter for Sunday's 7th game against the Dallas Cowboys to lead the division. However, against the Cowboys, Foles only completed 11 of 29 passes for a total of 80 yards, without touchdown. In the same game, Foles went in the 4th quarter after suffering a head injury, and was replaced by rookie Matt Barkley. Barkley did not do well, throwing 3 interception. The Eagles went on to lose 17-3 to the Cowboys so fell to 3-4 on the season and 1 game out of first place. The next day, Foles was diagnosed with a concussion and ruled out participation in Sunday 8 matches against the Giants on medical grounds.

Vick left the game at the end of the second quarter of the Eagles 15-7 defeat to the Giants in Week 8, aggravating a hamstring injury he had previously earned in Week 5.

Foles were given the third start of the season for Sunday 9 against Oakland Raiders. Against Raiders, Foles threw for seven goals, tying a record held by six other quarterbacks. Foles is one of three quarterbacks to throw off seven touchdowns and zero interceptions; he also garnered a perfect passer rating (158.3), having thrown more goals through from incletion. Foles was awarded the second Offensive NFC Player of the Week award this season for his performance against Raiders.

In Week 10 of the regular season, Foles played in the sixth game of the season (four starts) against the Green Bay Packers. Coming into the game, the Eagles have lost to Packer on the last three occasions that the team has encountered (including the post-season). Foles completed 12 of 18 tracks with a total of 228 yards, 3 goals, and no interception. Personal life
