The cap, also known as the cover , is part of the container, and acts as a cover or seal, usually the one actually closing the object.
Cover can be placed on small containers such as tubs as well as larger lids for buckets and open drum heads.
Some covers have security strips or tamper-clear bands to hold the lid securely until opening is desired or approved. This usually can not be changed to indicate that the container has been opened.
