The Good Fight is the American legal and political web television series produced for the CBS streaming service CBS All Access. This is the first original CBS All Access script series. The series - created by Robert King, Michelle King, and Phil Alden Robinson - is a sequel/spin off to The Good Wife, created by Kings. The first season contains 10 episodes, and aired on February 19, 2017, with the first episode airing on CBS and the next nine episodes on CBS All Access. The series was originally planned to air in May 2017, but was moved after a production delay forced CBS to postpone the premiere of the new Star Trek series: Discovery .
The series follows Christine Baranski as Diane Lockhart, when she is forced out of Lockhart, Deckler, Gussman, Lee, Lyman, Gilbert-Lurie, Kagan, Tannebaum, & amp; Partners after enormous financial frauds destroyed the reputation of her godson Maia (Rose Leslie) and Diane's savings, leading them to join Lucca Quinn (Cush Jumbo) at one of Chicago's leading law firms. Baranski star series, Leslie, Jumbo, Erica Tazel, Sarah Steele, Justin Bartha, Delroy Lindo, Nyambi Nyambi, Michael Boatman, and Audra McDonald, and features Paul Guilfoyle and Bernadette Peters in recurring roles. These are executives produced by Robert King, Michelle King, Ridley Scott, David W. Zucker, Liz Glotzer, Brooke Kennedy and Alison Scott, with Phil Alden Robinson producing and writing the first episode.
The second 13-episode season aired on March 4, 2018. On 2 May 2018, the series was updated for the third season.

Premise
A year after the end of The Good Wife , massive financial frauds destroyed Maia's young lawyer reputation and wiped out her mentor's savings, Diane Lockhart. Both were forced out of Lockhart, Deckler, Gussman, Lee, Lyman, Gilbert-Lurie, Kagan, Tannebaum, & amp; Rekan and join Diane's former employee, Lucca Quinn at Reddick, Boseman, & amp; Kolstad, a prestigious African American company made waves by taking the case of Illinois police brutality. On March 2, 2017 Channel 4 confirmed that it had secured the UK broadcast rights for this More4 channel series following the success of the Good Wife progenitor series on the same channel. The series debuted in More4 on March 30, 2017.
HBO Europe and HBO Nordic began streaming all 10 episodes of the first season on June 1, 2017, in Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Macedonia, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland, while Zee Entertainment Enterprises in India took exclusive TV rights for The Good Fight for its English-language public entertainment channel, Zee Cafà ©  ©, which is also home to The Good Wife Indian.

Critical reception
The Good Fight has received a positive review. Rotten Tomatoes was awarded this series with a 98% rating based on reviews from 50 critics and an average rating of 8.2 out of 10. The critical consensus of the site reads: "A good start for CBS All Access, The Good Fight firmly following his predecessor while allowing for new storytelling styles, wider narrative spheres, and the opportunity to lead him to explore new territories with an associated human struggle. "At Metacritic, the series received an 80 score based on reviews from 25 critics, general benefit ".
The LA Times suggests that Robert and Michelle King's "Good Fight creators still have the magic of Good Wife and even if Good Wife i have "run on track" after seasons 6 and 7 have received mediocre reviews, "they just need a clean" to allow them to continue to mine more stories from the fictitious universe.
