The backstage mark is an employee permit that allows access to an employee-specific area at the venue. They are most often associated with rock groups.
Such graduation is usually a laminated paper worn on a strap, or on a chain link or key ring on a belt, or a simple "stick" applied to a person's clothing. Plastic or paper bracelet can also be used. However, some elaborate designed backstage passes have been used by Bill Graham Productions/Winterland, Beaver Productions and many other local and regional promoters. To prevent counterfeiting, operands often include holograms or color slider properties.
At one concert or event, there are about 200 to 400 backstage passes available. Again, especially this for the cast, stage crew, roadies, security guards, player agents. Sometimes a relative or close friend of the artist, stage crew, promoter, etc. Will get backstage pass to concert.
Some places (including House of Blues venues and Irving Plaza in New York) require their own pass to be worn, even by the laminate holders for the tour. Major music festivals, such as Ozzfest and Bonnaroo Music and Arts festivals are also usually issued their own bait.
Backstage passes sometimes become memorabilia sold to heavy fans, especially when tickets are signed by a player.
In the media, the term "Backstage Pass" can be used to indicate the expansion of a certain group of music.

Type pass
There are several different types of backstage passes:
- All access passes allow unlimited access carriers to the venue. Such passes are generally limited to players, crew and their management, and venue management.
- Pass Stage Crew is used by those who set the stage. If used by local help, temporary, passes like that usually only apply during today's part, and not for during or after the show.
- Other employee graduation for people who work in certain jobs to support such actions, such as catering, security, and merchandise personnel.
- Go by for the media, such as journalists and press photographers.
- Limited access is usually intended for selected fans selected to "meet and greet" the players, and can also be used for band guests to grant them VIP status. Sometimes these feeds will actually have VIPs printed on them. This graduation is often issued for later parties.
- The backstage pass is also awarded by band and band manager to selected fans who want to gather with the band. These passes are usually associated with groupies, and are often issued for afterparties.
Otto Printing (in Kentucky) and PERRi Entertainment (in Reno, NV) helped build the industry and were the two largest manufacturers and designers that went through 2003. When PERRi folded, leading printers now pass backstage: Access Event Solutions. Reno has become the largest source of backstage pass printing. Otto still prints the pass and is the oldest printer of the backstage pass. While Reno and Otto Printing now produce the largest number of passes behind the stage, there are many companies that want to surpass them in it.
There are several ways to skip backstage. One way is to get hired for the venue. Some backsage pass is given as reward by official fan club. Sometimes local radio stations and/or local music stores will get one or more of their concert promoters or agents and will give them as promotional gift types.
