Careers

Greene began investing in real estate while in business school, and built a successful real estate business from a busboy at the Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach. In mid-2006, Greene, worried about the possible collapse of the real estate market, spoke with John Paulson, a fellow investor discussing with Greene about his investment strategy. They agree that the real estate market is unstable and bubbles may form in housing. After the meeting, Greene was involved in an investment strategy similar to Paulson's strategy, which involved a series of unconventional investments that swapped credit default swaps. The return on investment Greene finally saved his business, and placed it on the Forbes 400 list.

When asked, the environmental department chief of the Belize Environmental Department informed the newspaper that Greene and former captain Summerwind faced a fine of up to $ 1.87 million to return to Belize. According to a newspaper report at the time, the captain was interrogated by police and later released. Then, according to the former cruise ship manager Greene, Rupert Connor, the ship left Belize on schedule, and he was never informed of any claims against the ship.
